Double Check Valves

Plasson DZR double check valves are use to prevent back-flow, back siphoning and cross contamination of the wholesome (potable) water supplies with internal consumer circuits (non-potable). These units are WRC approved and are manufactured for the latest 'green list' of materials to comply with the impending material requirements of the EU to improve water quality.

The high quality materials and modern sealing systems yields a long service life. There are also suitable for underground use and have female BSP threaded connection either end.

Grundfos BVF Foot Valve

The Grundfos BVF valve is a one-way valve with the valve casing made of cast iron. The valves have a BSP internal pipe thread and are supplied with a spring-loaded valve cone.

BVF valves are used in minor water supply and pumping systems to avoid backflow when the pump is stopped. The valves are also fitted in systems where the pumps are connected in parallel and as foot valves to secure the suction conditions of the pumps.
Valves with a spring can be fitted in any position in the pipe system.

Maximum operating pressure: 25 bar.
Liquid temperature: 0 °C to +70 °C

Swing Check Non-Return Valve

Brass swing-check non-return valves are use to prevent back-flow, back siphoning and cross contamination of water supplies. The high quality materials and modern sealing systems yields a long service life. They have female BSP threaded connection either end.

These requirements make it a criminal offence for any person, whether owner or occupier, to allow the wholesome (potable) water supply within their premises to become contaminated, wasted, misused or unduly consumed.

Spring Check Non-Return Valve

Brass spring non-return valves are use to prevent back-flow, back siphoning and cross contamination of water supplies. Ideal for use as pump foot valves (with a suitable filter) or on pump manifolds due to the domed design of the internal valve disc, ensuring a smoother flow than a flat disc. They have female BSP threaded connection either end.

Pressure Rating: PN40 ½”, PN32 ¾”, PN25 1” & 1¼”, PN16 1½” & 2"

Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-u) is one of the most widely used thermoplastic materials for pipe installations. Being odourless and tasteless it is suitable for conveying potable water and many food products. PVC-u has excellent chemical resistance. The good flow characteristics are the result of the smooth bore and have good resistance to abrasion. It is light in weight, easy to join together, making PVC-u a good alternative to the more traditional materials. PVC-u is resistant to most solutions of acids, alkalis, salts and solvents that can be mixed with water.

Temperature range: 0° to +50°C.

Pressure rated to PN16 (16 bar) generally, with some exceptions.

Caleffi RPZ Valves

Caleffi 574 Series RPZ valves are used as a back flow prevention device. They need to be installed between the mains water supply (potable) and the internal consumer circuit (non-potable). The BA type back-flow prevention devices are designed for applications in water distribution systems to prevent the back siphoning and back flow into any potable water system.

NB. There are legal requirements regulating water installations in domestic, commercial and heath care premises. These requirements make it a criminal offence for any person, whether owner or occupier, to allow the wholesome (potable) water supply within their premises to become contaminated, wasted, misused or unduly consumed.

This is to prevent the contamination of the wholesome (potable) water supply system, the Water Regulations require back-flow protection devices to be installed at or near to all water points where water is to be drawn off for use.
