Dura Swing Joint ACME

Dura swing joints are used to go between the underground pipe work (usually HPPE or MDPE) into the bottom of a sprinkler. They allow for fine adjustment of sprinkler height but also for the sprinkler to 'flex' if direct pressure is applied directly on the top. Male BSP inlet x male ACME threaded outlet. Swing joints are 12" or 18" long and the extra inlet elbow option (4 elbows) allows top connection to the lateral pipe saddle.

Dura Swing Joint BSP

Dura Swing Joint Elbows

Dura swing joint elbows are used as replacements for damaged parts, or to convert an existing swing joint outlet to BSP or ACME, as required.

MS connections = Male Swing with 2 x o-ring seals

FS connections = Female Swing socket.

ACME threads used in irrigation usually have a single o-ring seal on the male part and do not require additional PTFE or similar tape.

BSP threads (British Standard Pipe) require PTFE or similar sealing tape to complete the joint seal.

Rain Bird Swing Joints BSP

Rain Bird swing joints are designed as an alternative to using swing pipe and fittings. Designed for use on the Rain Bird 6500 (Falcon) or 8000 series sprinklers, but they can also be used with any 1" BSP inlet sprinkler. Fabricated in PVC they are used as the direct connection between irrigation laterals and the sprinklers.

The Rain Bird swing joints have superior flow characteristics through the swept elbow design that can reduce the pressure loss by 50% over the swing joint. Complete with the double O-ring protection to provide a better seal ensuring joints are kept clean and can be repositioned easily.

Maximum pressure rating of 21.7 bar they come completely assembled and with a full 360° movement that allows for easy installation and repositioning of sprinklers. Swing joints are 12" long and the extra inlet elbow option (4 elbows) allows top connection to the lateral pipe saddle

Rain Bird Swing Joint Adaptors

Rain Bird swing joint adaptors are used to go from a male BSP to a female ACME thread. Before 2010 all Rain Bird Eagle series sprinklers were supplied with a female BSP thread; since then they have been supplied with a female ACME thread.

If you are replacing a sprinkler installed before 2010 you will most likely need to install an adaptor to go from the male BSP swing joint outlet to the new female ACME threaded sprinkler inlet.

Rain Bird ACME threaded swing joint caps allow the user/contractor to blank off a swing joint outlet prior to installation of a sprinkler for system pressure testing or surface grading purposes, amongst many uses. Rated to 16 bar
