By-Law Kit
A byelaw kit should be installed as per the water regulations to allow for a type A-B air gap within the tank, this is designed to prevent the water within the tank every reaching the inlet and causing cross contamination with the water supply. this is especially important when the tank is being supplied with mains water and used a booster set.
The kit will include a warning pipe and overflow pipe to prevent the tank from overfilling. A screened breather for the tank to allow circulation of air.

Equilibrium Ball Valve
Equilibrium float valves are designed to minimise the effect of changing water pressures, therefore being especially suited to pumped water systems.

Line pressure assists closing thus reducing the length of lever required.

High pressure Ball Valve
High pressure ball valves are used to refill water storage tanks. The arm on the valve, combined with a float means the water level should never reach the inlet. All high pressure ball valves are constructed to BS1212 Part 1 or 2.
Part 2 valves are generally quieter in operation and offer better protection against backflow.
Please note that high pressure ball valves are not supplied with floats. These need to be purchased separately.
All ball valves should be installed to WRAS specifications and a sufficient overflow should also be provided on mains water supplied systems. Further information can be found on the WRAS website.
Plastic Ball Valve Float
Plastic ball valve floats are used in combination with high or low pressure ball valves to refill water storage tanks. The drop arm on the valve, combined with a float means the water level should never reach the inlet. All high pressure ball valves are constructed to BS1212 Part 1.
Please note that ball valve floats are not supplied with the valves, these need to be purchased separately.
All ball valves should be installed to WRAS specifications and a sufficient overflow should also be provided on mains water supplied systems. Further information can be found on the WRAS website.
Quick Stop Plastic Ball Valves
The Quickstop flow regulators offer an alternative to the high pressure ball valves, with it's instant on or off they are an ideal alternative when you have a pumped supply to the irrigation water storage tank.
Constructed from plastic and UV stabilized, it is pressure rated from 2 - 6 bar. This product is not WRAS approved and should not be used on a mains water system.
