Rain Bird Line Surge Prorectors (LSP-1) are for use with Rain Bird 2-wire decoder based irrigation systems. They are required to be installed every 150 metres along the 2-wire cable path, or with every 8 decoders.
The FD-401 and FD-601 decoders have in-built surge protection, so LSP-1's are not required if these are installed
