Tundishes are used when an air gap or air break is required to conform to water regulations. This is usually required when used for topping up an underground tank. Therefore if the underground tank ever floods a direct contact between mains water and non-potable or groundwater does not happen.

The tundish must be installed above ground as per the Water Regulations. Once the water has passed through the tundish it will transfer via gravity in the pre-determined pipe work to the tank, thereby preventing any possibility of water back flow. Made from polyethylene.
